Greening Up your Cleaning Supplies
We are all trying to be a little e greener around the home. One great way to make your place a little cleaner while you make your place a little greener is by switching your toxic cleaners for something effective yet eco-friendly. This is a cheap and easy way to do your part in making the world a better place to live.

Take a look under your sink or in your cleaning closet. There are probably a half dozen toxic cleaners in there. Don your hazmat suit, round up these cleaners, be sure to dispose of them properly then burn the suit. Next, hug your favorite tree goodbye, roll up you pant leg and bike down to your favorite co-op. Ok, not really. You really shouldn’t have too much difficulty finding environmentally friendly cleaning products at your favorite grocery store.
Eco friendly cleaners are usually located in the same aisle as other cleaners. Here are a few brands that you might come across when in you supermarket.
- Nature’s source
- Bi-O-Kleen laundry cleaner
- Parsley Plus
- Bio Kleen citrus cleaner
- Seventh Generation Free and Clear Laundry Liquid
While you are there, be sure to take a close look at the packaging. Don’t be fooled by ambiguously worded or confusing packaging. There are plenty of resources out there both online and in print, so check them out. I’m here to tell you to do your homework. A small time investment up front will make your home a safer place for you, your family and your pets.
