Three Ways to Entertain Yourself Without Breaking The Bank

It seems like everyone is trying to save a few dollars without totally derailing their lifestyles. I would say that I’m in the same boat as that group so, here are a few ideas for a fun night on the cheap.

  1. A feast for the eyes: This is the holiday season so get out and enjoy it. Take a drive or a walk around the neighborhood to see how creative your neighbors can get with their lights. There are some pretty audacious lighting schemes out there.
  2. Finders keepers: Organize a digital scavenger hunt.  These can be a ton of fun if you live n a city. Here is what you will need: a digital camera for every team; a list of clues; and enough people to make it interesting. The list of clues should describe various places within walking distance of each other. When a team finds what they believe to be the item or place described in the clue, they take a picture of it then move on to the next clue until they have them all.
  3. Kiss the Cook: What ever happened to the cookout? This is a great way to hang out with friends and have a good meal. Everyone should bring a dish to pass. I like to have themed events so I would have a gingham BBQ. This is a super cheap way to hang out, make new friends, and have leftovers for days.

These are just a few was to keep yourself entertained. I think you get the idea from here. Just be creative and remember: The more the merrier.
